What Tandy Services is

A one-person shop with an AI workforce.

I'm a long-haul truck driver. I run Tandy Services from the road, in the hours between loads, using AI the way a small company uses a whole team of developers — for research, design, building, testing, and the boring maintenance nobody wants to do.

The difference from most "AI websites" is simple: everything here is real and in production. These aren't demos. They're businesses people log into every day to run their work — take leads, send invoices, manage a menu, book a tattoo.

And the people who use them own them outright. All the files, the data, the keys. No monthly platform fee, no vendor holding the site hostage. Build it once, hand over the keys.

What it is
A lead-generating website and a complete business operating system for a mobile welder in Clearwater, Florida.
How it works
The public site brings in quote requests; behind it, Dan runs his entire business from his phone — leads become estimates, estimates become scheduled jobs, jobs become invoices and payments. Plus CRM, job-site photos, a price book, mileage, inventory, even his email inbox.

One of John's own customers — a welder who didn't want to pay a developer a fortune. We made a deal; he owns it outright and runs his whole operation from his phone.

A full restaurant platform — public site out front, a complete back-office behind it — built as a favor for a pitmaster.
How it works
Menu management, catering inbox, reviews, a newsletter, a loyalty list, a register with payment links, inventory and a time clock — plus an AI assistant ("BBQ Brain") that drafts posts and answers questions from the restaurant's own data.
Why it's here
The build that started it all — John saw me working on Nation.Tattoo and asked for help, so I went all in. One of his own customers saw the result and became the next project.

How it works
Artists, studios, piercers, apprentices and body-mod specialists build rich profiles with portfolios, flash drops, booking and reviews; fans discover them, track their healing, and ask questions. Studios subscribe by tier and get real business tools — inventory, P&L, mileage, SMS — on top.

The operations platform for oversize and heavy-haul freight — built for all four sides of a load: shippers, transporters, pilot-car escorts and brokers.

How it works
A load board to post and take freight, dispatch and trip sheets, quote → bill of lading → invoice, fleet & compliance, and real oversize routing checked against 623,790 bridges — plus free public permit tools, calculators and directories for the whole industry.

I've hauled oversize since 2000 and built this from the cab over 20+ years because the trade still runs on paper. It began as Boat Transport Ops — but a yacht is just one kind of oversize load, so it grew to cover them all, with Tandy Services AI baked in.

The hard part we didn't outsource

We didn't just build with AI.
We built an AI.

Most "AI features" are rented — a monthly fee per user, and your customers' data sitting on someone else's servers. So Tandy Services built its own: a private AI system running on our own hardware, from the ground up.

It's a fleet of around twenty specialized services working together — a knowledge brain that searches real information before it answers, smart routing that sends each question to the right model, image generation, vision, and a watchdog that keeps the whole thing alive.

Today it powers Nation.Tattoo's "Ink AI" in production — and it's only getting started.
